FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY NON-PERSONALIZED PRODUCT?
A: Products that don't require personalization like greeting cards and most art prints are usually shipped 3 business days after the order. We ship via USPS Priority within the USA and First Class International for other countries. Please keep in mind that some international orders may take several weeks to arrive due to Customs.
Q: HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO RECEIVE MY PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS (INVITATIONS, PERSONALIZED ART PRINT, ETC.)?
A: Personalized art proofs will be sent within 2 business days of deposit. Once art proofs have been approved allow 2 weeks for the shipping of cards and invitations, and 3 days for the shipping of personalized art prints. Rush orders are available for an additional fee.
Q: WHAT KIND OF PAPER DO YOU USE?
A: We take pride in the quality of our printed cards and art prints.
All invitations are professionally printed and thoroughly inspected for quality. Our basic paper option for invitations is a premium, thick and smooth 120lb card stock paper. We also offer a luxurious heavy cotton paper option, that has a rich velvet finish.
All art prints are printed with archival ink on a thick, heavyweight fine art paper with an elegant matte surface. The prints are very crisp and the colors are vivid and rich.
Q: HOW MANY COLORS CAN I CHOOSE FOR ONE DESIGN?
A: As many as you want. However, we do recommend sticking with the amount of colors used in the sample listing to ensure perfect design flow and continuity.
Q: WHAT IS A PRINTABLE FILE?
A: Printable files are affordable Do-It-Yourself digital designs that are sent via email in PDF file format. No actual items are sent in the mail.
When you receive a printable file you may print out the image on your home printer or you can forward the file over to your local print shop to do the printing for you! Assembly is required.
Q: WHERE CAN I GET MY PRINTABLE FILE PRINTED? WHAT PAPER SHOULD I USE?
A: We recommend using Staples, Kinkos or your local Print or Copy Shop. They will print them for you and all you have to do is cut them following our crop marks. They can also cut it for you and the rates are usually pretty cheap. Just make sure you take in a sample and see if they are able to cut accurately before you commit to them. If you're cutting it yourself, we also recommend using a paper trimmer to ensure straight edges. We recommend using card stock, 110lb in weight or heavier. Card stock can be purchased at your local craft shop or office supply store. Some good options are Paper Source,
Q: I'VE PRINTED MY PRINTABLE FILE BUT THE COLORS AREN'T EXACTLY AS I SEE ON SCREEN...
A: Please keep in mind all printers and monitors are calibrated differently and color can vary from what is shown on your monitor. If printing from home, for best results, we recommend using an inkjet printer.
Q: I HAVE AN IDEA OF A DESIGN I WANT. DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM REQUESTS?
A: Yes, I do! Just convo me and we can discuss. We can also customize color and wording (but not fonts) from our pre-designed templates available in our shop at no cost.
Q: CAN I EDIT MY DESIGN ONCE I RECEIVE THE FINAL FILE?
A: No. Files can only be altered by Lucy Loves Paper due to Copyrights issues.
